The Quattro2, with its unique audio capabilities and USB connectivity,
is designed for large conference room settings. At the same time, its
small and sophisticated design makes it the perfect solution for medium
size conference rooms as well
There is no other speakerphone with such an extended audio pickup and
audio broadcasting range. It is brimming with advanced and complicated
technology on the inside but yet very simple and intuitive to use and
operate. The Quattro2 is offered in several different versions, each
version includes, in addition to the USB interface, a secondary
interface.
Networking
Your Quattro With PSTN Interface
For VoIP applications the Quattro2 connects directly to your computer
through the USB port and works right out of the box. No installation or
drivers required.
At the same time the Quattro2, when equipped with PSTN interface,
connects directly to your telephone line and communicates with your PBX
in a manner that guarantees robust and optimum performance. A three-way
bridge can also be created between your computer, your conferencing
room, and your telephone line. This opens many more possibilities to
serve your conference needs.
Ease
of use
The Quattro2 offers three methods of managing your telephone calls. You
can either use your own phone connected through the Quattro2 (see
diagram), use a software based dialing utility (avaiable for free on
our website for Windows users), or purchase an external dial pad from
us. When using your phone, all of your company directory numbers, speed
dialing, and conferencing calling features you currently use, are used
to make a call. Just initiate the call from your own phone and press
one button on the Quattro2 to move the conference over. There is no
learning curve or missed feature sets. Everyone is productive the
moment they enter the room. This configuration allows you to use your
phone for better privacy.
A
better meeting experience.
There is an amazing amount of technology built into the Quattro yet it
is about half the size of competitive units that do less. Unlike other
products that utilize their multiple microphones by gating one of them
at any time based on the signal level, the Quattro2 uses all of its
four microphones concurrently with a “beam forming”
technology. In simple terms, the Quattro2 uses its microphones to
develop a beam directed at the person or persons speaking. Our
“Beam” is not just looking for the loudest signal
it is actually checking for noise, reverberation, and stray non-voice
sounds like key strokes and door slams, and then works to eliminate
them. If more than one person is speaking at the same time the Quattro2
will effectively create several beams and mix them together in a
sophisticated way based on each beam’s “Signal
(voice) to Noise Ratio”. This is being re-evaluated thousands
of times per second to ensure the best and cleanest possible signal is
being sent to the far end.
We also provide high definition, wide band audio onto networks that
accept it. Typical phone lines and most of our competitors in this
category have frequency responses of approximately 300 to 3500Hz which
lack dynamic range and sound flat. The Quattro2 provides 20 to 8,000Hz
for a full sounding conference including all of the voice inflections
and nuances that provide for a much more natural and productive meeting
experience.
We built the Quattro2 with the best in class echo cancellers that
provide true full-duplex communication. Most other products either
compromise the full duplex performance, limit the loudspeaker sound
level, or design the microphone as far as possible from the speaker.
Our echo cancellers work in the confined small space that the Quattro2
is packaged in and with a sound level which is about four times louder
than any other product you have experienced before.
The
Quattro2 is versatile and adaptable
USB
Interface - All
Quattro’s come standard with a USB interface. That
connectivity is designed for Internet phones, VoIP networks (also known
as soft phones), and desk top video conferencing. But all
Quattro2’s also have a second interface port that allows you
to configure your phone to other types of networks or devices.
PSTN (Analog) - If your
office or conference room network is currently PSTN (analog) then order
your Quattro2 with the PSTN interface module. Phoenix offers a PSTN
interface that support one line or two line connections.
Audio
for Video - If you want to
hook it up to a Video Codec than order it with the Video Interface
Module.
Digital Phone System - If your office or conference room network is
currently a digital phone system then order your Quattro2 with the
Digital Phone Interface module.
Daisy
Chain – For larger
rooms or conference rooms that have unique applications like training
rooms with separate tables the Quattro2 can be daisy chained together.
There is no practical limit to the number of units you can chain to
cover any shape or size of room; all you need is a Daisy Chain Module
(internal or external).
Upgrade
Path – Quattro is
the first and only conference phone that can adapt and grow with your
infrastructure. Quattro2’s unique communication interfaces
come as built-in modules that can be replaced at any time by an
approved dealer or Phoenix Audio.
Power
to the Quattro -All the
secondary interface modules, whether PSTN, Video Codec, or Daisy Chain,
are equipped with a rechargeable battery. This unique feature reduces
the number of wires on your conference table to a minimum. You no
longer have to connect your speakerphone to the power supply in order
to use it with your phone.

that form the Quattro and explains how the Quattro offers all these
unique features.
Click here to view drawings that demostrate the unlimited flexibility
and expandability of the Quattro. This allows you to guarantee that
everyone in the room will hear and be heard regardless of the room size.
Other audio systems have you designing your room using the theory that
the furthest person from a microphone is not more than twice the
distance than the closest person from a microphone. It was done to try
and keep the timbre and volume of participant’s voices in
check. Quattro2’s sophisticated algorithms handle room
acoustics so well you can put away your tape measure for good and place
the modules where they make sense for you.
How
to order
The Quattro2 can be ordered in its base configuration (USB only) or
configured with the additional interface built-in.
Internal interface modules can be ordered separately as kits for
configuration.
Phoenix also offers several accessories like an external dial pad,
cables for the digital phone’s headset jack and more.
Orders
for the Quattro2 can take between 8 and 10 business days for delivery.
